Amends Hawaii Revised Statutes Section 134-7.3(b) to require persons disqualified from firearm ownership to voluntarily surrender all firearms and ammunition within seven days of disqualification to the chief of police or dispose of them.

Shortens the timeframe during which the chief of police may seize firearms and ammunition for non-compliance from thirty days to seven days after disqualification.

Applies to any person disqualified from ownership, possession, or control of firearms and ammunition under Section 134-7.

Takes effect on July 1, 2018.

Does not affect rights, duties, penalties, or proceedings that were in effect before the effective date.
