Requires injured employees' private health care plans to pay for medical care, services, and supplies during controverted workers' compensation claims, with reimbursement from the employer once the claim is accepted or determined compensable.

Establishes employer liability for medical care, services, and supplies up to 137 percent of Medicare Resource-Based Relative Value Scale fees for firefighters with five or more years of service who have accepted or compensable claims for leukemia, multiple myeloma, non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, or cancers of the lung, brain, stomach, esophagus, intestines, rectum, kidney, bladder, prostate, or testes.

Recognizes that firefighters have significantly higher cancer rates than the general population due to occupational exposure to carcinogens and toxicants during fire suppression activities.

Becomes effective January 1, 2050.
