S.B. 2711 Summary

• Permits Class 14 brewpub licensees to operate at multiple satellite locations statewide (rather than one location) under the same trade name, with each location subject to local county liquor commission jurisdiction and licensed as a Class 1, 2, 4, 5, 12, 14, or 18 establishment.

• Permits Class 18 small craft producer pub licensees to operate at up to five satellite locations statewide (rather than one) under the same trade name with same jurisdictional and licensing requirements as brewpubs.

• Increases production ceiling for Class 18 small craft producer pub licensees from 60,000 barrels to 350,000 barrels of malt beverages statewide, with a maximum of 125,000 barrels at any single location.

• Expands definition of "growler" containers for both brewpubs and small craft producer pubs from glass/ceramic/metal containers not exceeding one half-gallon to recyclable or reusable containers not exceeding one gallon.

• Expands direct shipping rights to allow Class 14 brewpub and Class 18 small craft producer pub licensees to directly ship all forms of liquor (beer, wine, and spirits) to consumers, rather than restricting wine shipments to wineries only.
