Increases smoke-free zone distance from 20 feet to 25 feet around individual buildings, administrative office buildings, entrances, exits, windows, and ventilation intakes in public housing projects, state low-income housing projects, and elder or elderly housing.

Expands smoking prohibition to include administrative office buildings in addition to residential buildings at these housing facilities.

Requires the Hawaii Public Housing Authority to ensure designated smoking areas are at least 25 feet away from any residential or office building, or at greater distances as needed to prevent secondhand smoke infiltration.

Corrects terminology by changing "household" to "housing" in the statute defining covered facilities.

Takes effect upon approval.
