Amends Hawaii Revised Statutes Section 390-2(d) to add a new requirement for theatrical employment of minors under fourteen years of age.

Requires an on-set teacher to accompany, supervise, and advocate on behalf of a minor whenever the minor is on set and a variance from work hour restrictions is granted for theatrical employment.

Defines "on-set teacher" as a person designated by the employer who holds a valid license issued by the Hawaii teachers standards board and may not be the minor's parent or guardian.

Takes effect July 1, 2018.
