Request University of Hawai'i sea grant college program to conduct economic analysis of North Shore beaches stretching from Kawailoa to Waiale'e ahupua'a to estimate their economic value.

Analysis must examine visitor surveys, data from department of business/economic development/tourism, Hawaii tourism authority, travel research organizations, hotel revenues, and visitor activity spending.

University must submit findings, recommendations, and any proposed legislation to legislature no later than twenty days before the 2021 regular session.

Appropriate $200,000 from general revenues for fiscal year 2018-2019 to University of Hawai'i sea grant college program to conduct the economic analysis.

Act takes effect July 1, 2018.
