• Formally establishes the Hawaii Keiki: Healthy and Ready to Learn program within the Department of Education to provide school-based health services in collaboration with the Department of Health, Department of Human Services, and University of Hawaii at Manoa.

• Creates the Hawaii Keiki special fund to receive appropriations, federal grants, private donations, and federal reimbursements for program operations; fund is exempt from central service assessment requirements.

• Appropriates unspecified sums for fiscal years 2017-2018 and 2018-2019 for school health services coordinators in the Department of Health and Department of Human Services.
