Urges the Mayor of the City and County of Honolulu and the Honolulu City Council to allocate more resources to the Honolulu Police Department for increased visible police presence and active patrols on Oahu's North Shore.

Cites documented crime increases in District 2 (which includes the North Shore), with index crimes rising from 2,023 to 2,055 per 100,000 residents between 2015 and 2016, burglaries increasing from 320 to 359, and auto thefts rising from 284 to 324.

References January 2018 data showing 304 reported crimes in District 2 including 65 theft reports, 96 unauthorized motor vehicle entries, and 23 burglaries, plus 33 incidents in the North Shore/Waialua area between January 29 and February 11, 2018.

Notes that more than half of Oahu's 6.5 million annual visitors visit the North Shore, making safety for residents, workers, and tourists a priority.
