References President Richard Nixon's 1974 Presidential Proclamation 4288 establishing National Volunteer Week to recognize and encourage community volunteer service

Acknowledges the United States volunteer force of over 63,000,000 people as vital to communities and the nation's future as a caring and productive society

Notes that National Volunteer Week inspires and mobilizes people to take actions for social change and recognizes volunteers for their commitment to service

Directs transmission of a certified copy of the resolution to the Governor
