Requests Papa Ola Lōkahi to conduct an assessment of providing health insurance coverage for Native Hawaiian culture-based practices and Native Hawaiian healing practices that have demonstrated effectiveness in managing weight, cardiovascular health, diabetes, and chronic diseases.

Directs Papa Ola Lōkahi to evaluate the impact on social, financial, and cultural integrity of extending such coverage.

Notes that Native Hawaiians have among the highest rates of obesity, hypertension, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and mortality of any ethnic group in Hawaii, and many prefer culturally acceptable health management approaches.

Requires Papa Ola Lōkahi to submit findings, recommendations, and any necessary implementing legislation to the Legislature no later than twenty days before the 2020 Regular Session convenes.

Directs transmission of a certified copy of the resolution to the Executive Director of Papa Ola Lōkahi.
