Supports the purchase, preservation, and restoration of agricultural and conservation lands in Maunawili Valley, Oahu, including wetlands, streams, and freshwater springs that feed Kawainui Marsh.

Recognizes Maunawili Valley's cultural and historical significance, including ancient heiau (temples), Hawaiian burials, petroglyphs, agricultural terraces, and association with Queen Lili'uokalani.

Commends HRT Realty, LLC, Hui Maunawili-Kawainui, and The Trust for Public Land for collaborative efforts to acquire HRT Realty's more than 1,000 Maunawili acres for conservation.

Urges the Department of Land and Natural Resources, Department of Agriculture, City and County of Honolulu, and Hawaii's congressional delegation to support land acquisition efforts to protect agricultural, cultural, and historic resources.

Seeks to restore Maunawili's traditional role in providing fresh water and supporting food production, consistent with the Governor's goal to double local food production by 2020.
