Exempts post-secondary students from immunization requirements under title 11, chapter 157, Hawaii Administrative Rules if they attend classes exclusively online or through distance learning.

Students who must attend campus for any reason related to their online or distance learning class become subject to immunization requirements prior to entering campus.

Addresses the expansion of online and distance learning programs at the University of Hawaii, which offered 1,428 sections of distance learning in fall 2018 and is preparing to increase exclusively online program offerings.

Takes effect on July 1, 2019, providing exemption before proposed state administrative rule changes are finalized.
