Authorizes law enforcement officers appointed by the director of transportation to possess and use electric guns while performing their duties, adding them to the list of exempted law enforcement personnel.

Requires transportation department law enforcement officers to receive manufacturer-approved training in electric gun use before deployment in public.

Mandates that transportation department law enforcement officers meet Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies standards for electric gun use by June 30, 2024.

Requires the department of transportation to maintain records of all electric gun usage and annually report to the legislature regarding these records no later than twenty days before each regular legislative session.

Establishes that electric guns must remain in the custody and control of authorized law enforcement officers at all times.
