Department of Land and Natural Resources shall conduct a ten-year environmental case study of Maunalua Bay from July 1, 2019, through June 30, 2029.

Study shall examine terrestrial impacts and major stressors degrading fish habitat, chemical composition of water column throughout the bay, and biomass of fish populations.

Department shall consult and include community organizations, businesses, and individuals with expertise in resource management within Maunalua Bay.

Maunalua Bay is defined as the area between Koko Head and Black Point.

Department shall submit a report with findings, recommendations, and proposed legislation to the legislature no later than twenty days prior to the 2029 regular session; appropriation from general revenues provided for fiscal year 2019-2020.
