HB1273 Summary

• Establishes the Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Medicaid Waiver Administrative Claiming Special Fund to deposit federal Medicaid administrative claiming revenues from the state's operation of the section 1915(c) home and community-based services waiver.

• Allows fund moneys to be used for fiscal management services, staff and provider training, quality management activities, information technology system operations, rate methodology studies, and participant assessment services.

• Requires the Department of Health to submit annual reports to the legislature accounting for fund receipts and expenditures no later than twenty days before each regular session.

• Directs the Department of Health to work with the Department of Human Services and stakeholders to develop and distribute educational materials about accessing Medicaid services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

• Appropriates $900,000 from the special fund for fiscal year 2019-2020 and takes effect July 1, 2019.
