Establishes a legislative social media task force within the department of accounting and general services to study social media use in the legislative process.

Task force shall study technological feasibility of legislators receiving testimony through recorded broadcasts or live video, current state IT infrastructure capabilities, and estimated upgrade costs.

Chief information officer serves as chair; task force includes members with IT and communications expertise, with senate president and speaker of the house each appointing at least one member.

Task force members serve without compensation but are reimbursed for necessary expenses; must convene within 30 days of enactment and submit findings and recommendations to the legislature no later than 20 days before the 2020 regular session.

Task force dissolves on June 30, 2020.
