• Increases penalty for violating subsection (a)(5) of Section 329-41 (controlled substances) from class C felony to class B felony for persons who knowingly keep or maintain structures for using, keeping, or selling controlled substances.

• Changes promoting gambling in the first degree from class C felony to class B felony under Section 712-1221(2).

• Changes promoting gambling in the second degree from misdemeanor to class C felony under Section 712-1222(2).

• Removes section 712-1221 (promoting gambling in the first degree) from the list of class C felonies eligible for mandatory minimum sentencing in Section 706-606.5, since it is now a class B felony.

• Effective date is January 28, 2081.
