Amends Hawaii Revised Statutes Section 338-25.5 to allow licensed cemetery authorities to disinter and reinter human remains within the same cemetery without a Department of Health permit.

Requires written authorization from the majority of next-of-kin determined by the priority of succession order in Section 531B-4 before disinterment can occur.

Exception does not apply to transfers of human remains off cemetery property to another physical address, which still require Department of Health permits.

Allows cemetery authorities to require a licensed embalmer be present during disinterment if human remains may be exposed.

Takes effect July 1, 2019.
