Prohibits any person, including hotel guests, from storing, keeping, carrying, or possessing firearms or ammunition in hotel rooms assigned to guests.

Creates a new criminal offense under Chapter 134, Hawaii Revised Statutes, with penalty to be specified (provision incomplete in bill text).

Applies the prohibition to all hotels as defined in section 486K-1, and defines "guest" using the same statutory definitions.

Exempts the new prohibition from applying to state and county law enforcement officers, armed forces members, authorized organizations, and certain government employees performing duties that require them to be armed.

Exempts the prohibition from applying to possession of firearms with blank cartridges used as props in motion picture or television production when authorized by the chief of police.
