• Adds a new provisional license category for speech pathologists in Chapter 468E, Hawaii Revised Statutes

• Allows individuals with a master's degree in speech pathology from board-recognized institutions to obtain provisional licensure upon application and fee payment

• Requires provisional licensees to practice under the direct supervision of a licensed speech pathologist who holds an American Speech-Language-Hearing Association certificate of clinical competence and is in good standing with the board

• Provisional licenses are valid for one year from issuance and may be renewed for one additional year if needed to fulfill full licensure requirements

• Effective date: January 1, 2022
