• Defines "hosting platform" as any person or entity collecting fees for conducting booking transactions between prospective transient users and accommodation hosts

• Defines "booking service" as reservation or payment services facilitating transient accommodations transactions

• Addresses detrimental impacts of illegal and unregulated transient accommodations on the state's housing supply by enabling county-level regulation to prevent proliferation of illegal rentals and preserve residential housing

• Takes effect upon approval
