HB 546 Summary

• Increases the malt beverage manufacturing limit for class 18 small craft producer pub licensees from 60,000 barrels to 70,000 barrels per license year.

• Allows class 14 brewpub licensees and class 18 small craft producer pub licensees to operate satellite locations in addition to their primary premises, provided each satellite operates under the same trade name and is properly licensed within its county.

• Clarifies that "growler" containers are recyclable or reusable containers not exceeding one gallon (changed from half-gallon), and expands the definition to include containers beyond just glass, ceramic, or metal.

• Permits brewpub and small craft producer pub licensees to sell malt beverages in recyclable or reusable containers (in addition to brewery/producer-sealed kegs) at satellite locations.

• Effective date: July 1, 2019.
