• Amends section 346-153 of Hawaii Revised Statutes to require the Department of Human Services to post inspection reports for all child care facilities on its website beginning with inspections occurring after December 31, 2019.

• Mandates inspection reports be posted within thirty working days of inspection conclusion and include the inspection date, violations of state laws or rules, corrective action plans and status, facility-submitted corrective actions, and other quality/condition information.

• Allows unpaid student interns under department supervision to input inspection data and post reports to the website.

• Prohibits public release of complainant names or identifying information, with investigation records withholdable for up to ten working days if criminal offense alleged.

• Appropriates unspecified general revenue funds for fiscal years 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 to the Department of Human Services to implement the reporting requirements, effective July 1, 2019.
