Office of Planning shall study land subdivision and condominium property regime laws and their interaction with county zoning ordinances, in consultation with the Land Use Commission, Real Estate Commission, and Honolulu Department of Planning and Permitting.

Study shall identify potential ambiguities, omissions, or deficiencies in these laws that could allow landowners to develop land contrary to legislative intent.

Office of Planning shall conduct a public hearing to gather information from the general public during the research phase.

Office of Planning shall submit findings, recommendations, and any proposed legislation to the legislature no later than twenty days before the 2020 regular legislative session.

Act takes effect upon approval.
