Request Office of Hawaiian Affairs to conduct a study on the significance of traditional Hawaiian practices and their effect on perpetuating Native Hawaiian culture

Study scope includes the makahiki, its impact on continuation of Native Hawaiian cultural practices, and the need for continued makahiki practices

Makahiki games specifically identified include ulu maika, oo ihe, hukihuki, pa uma, and haka moa, which demonstrate Hawaiian warrior strength and cultural connection

Office of Hawaiian Affairs must submit findings to the Legislature no later than twenty days prior to the convening of the Regular Session of 2020

Certified copy of resolution to be transmitted to the Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the Office of Hawaiian Affairs
