Request for State Auditor to conduct a sunrise analysis assessing social and financial effects of mandating health insurance coverage for cannabidiol oil derived from industrial hemp, as proposed in H.B. No. 20 (2019 Regular Session)

Industrial hemp defined as Cannabis sativa L. with delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol concentration of not more than 0.3 percent on a dry weight basis, containing therapeutic cannabidiol with low psychoactive compound levels

Cannabidiol recognized by FDA on June 25, 2018, for treatment of seizures associated with Lennox-Gastaut syndrome and Dravet syndrome in patients two years of age and older

State Auditor must submit findings, recommendations, and any proposed legislation to the Legislature no later than twenty days before the Regular Session of 2020

Certified copies of resolution to be transmitted to the State Auditor and Insurance Commissioner
