Request the Comptroller to convene a Healthy Workplace Working Group to review and recommend improvements to state facilities that maximize health and cognitive functions of workers.

Working Group shall consist of the Comptroller (chair), two members appointed by the Speaker of the House, two members appointed by the President of the Senate, and one member appointed by the chair.

Chair shall invite representatives from the United States Green Building Council and the Honolulu Chapter of the American Institute of Architects to participate, with option to invite other interested parties.

Working Group members shall serve without compensation and must submit findings, recommendations, and any proposed legislation to the Legislature no later than twenty days prior to the 2020 Regular Session.

Resolution cites joint research from Harvard University, SUNY Upstate Medical University, and Syracuse University showing workers in green buildings with improved ventilation and reduced indoor pollutants score 61-101 percent higher on cognitive function tests.
