Requests the State Auditor to conduct a management audit of the Corrections Division of the Department of Public Safety, which oversees eight correctional facilities statewide.

Requires the audit to evaluate recruitment and retention rates, hiring policies, staffing levels, safety compliance with Family and Medical Leave Act and national best practices, and safety equipment and training for Adult Corrections Officers.

Directs the audit to identify existing and potential safety issues at all correctional facilities and classify essential versus non-essential staff positions in the division.

Mandates review of staffing policies for essential and non-essential posts, vacation and sick leave usage rates compared to national standards, and Adult Corrections Officer scheduling and post assignments against departmental policies and national best practices.

Requires the Auditor to submit findings, recommendations, and any proposed legislation to the Legislature no later than twenty days before the 2020 Regular Session convenes.
