Commends students and teachers of the 'Āali'i Program at Nānākuli High and Intermediate School for their civic engagement and commitment to water resource management issues in Wai'anae Valley.

Recognizes student research and advocacy efforts that resulted in a neighborhood board resolution on restoring water to four streams (Kūmaipu'o, Hiu, Kalalula, and Nioloopua) that no longer flow year-round due to historical diversions.

Acknowledges student presentations to community panels and the Wai'anae Coast Neighborhood Board regarding watershed restoration, traditional Hawaiian agriculture, and aquatic ecosystem benefits.

Notes that a student-drafted resolution was presented at the 2016-2018 Annual Conventions of the Association of Hawaiian Civic Clubs and was eventually passed at the 2018 convention in Kalapaki, Kaua'i.

Commends the program's experiential learning approach to civic participation and environmental stewardship, continuing efforts initiated over 100 years ago by Prince Jonah Kūhiō Kalaniana'ole.
