Request the State Commission on the Status of Women to establish and maintain a database on sex trafficking offenses under Hawaii Revised Statutes sections 712-1200(1)(b) and 712-1202.

Database should collect statewide sex trafficking data while complying with applicable privacy laws, with data accessible to governmental entities consistent with privacy requirements.

Database must include data on reported cases, arrests, prosecutions, convictions, victim and offender demographics (age, sex, gender identity, race, ethnicity), Native Hawaiian and immigrant victims, and available federal and state funding.

Attorney General, Judiciary, and county police chiefs and prosecuting attorneys are requested to provide necessary data to the Commission for the database.

Commission is requested to submit annual reports to the Legislature on sex trafficking statistics and any proposed legislation no later than 20 days before the 2021 Regular Session and every year thereafter.
