Recognizes and honors six organizations for their service during the 2018 Kilauea lava flow disaster: Puuhonua o Puna, Hawaii Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster, Hawaii Habitat for Humanity Association, Hawaii Island United Way, The Salvation Army - Hawaiian and Pacific Islands, and American Red Cross of Hawaii.

Acknowledges the 2018 Kilauea eruption in Pahoa resulted in approximately 2,000 evacuations, over 700 homes lost, 1,600 acres of farmland destroyed, and millions of dollars in infrastructure damage.

Commends Puuhonua o Puna, established in May 2018, for operating as a community resource center providing meals, bedding, clothing, diapers, pet food, and other essentials to affected residents.

Recognizes American Red Cross of Hawaii's $75,000 donation to provide safe shelter for vulnerable evacuees and deployment of thousands of volunteer hours for relief efforts.

Extends recognition to Hawaii Island United Way for assisting with rental and mortgage payments and donating funds for temporary housing, and to other organizations for coordinating resources and providing emergency services during the disaster.
