Urges the Department of Health and Hawaii Restaurant Association to work together to develop rules and industry standards addressing food safety when employees perform multiple duties including food service and non-food service tasks.

Identifies cross-contamination as a public health concern, specifically when employees handle food and perform cleaning or financial transactions without wearing gloves or washing hands between tasks.

Directs the Department of Health to adopt rules ensuring proper safety measures are implemented for employees who perform both food service and non-food service duties as part of their regular job responsibilities.

Requires certified copies of the resolution to be transmitted to the Department of Health and the Executive Director of the Hawaii Restaurant Association.
