Request that the United States Secretary of Defense and the Service Secretaries of the Navy, Army, and Air Force increase on-base housing availability for active-duty military personnel and their dependents to address Hawaii's housing crisis.

Acknowledge that approximately 70,000 military personnel are assigned to eleven military installations throughout Hawaii, creating competition with local civilian residents for limited rental housing.

Request that commanders of Pearl Harbor Naval Base, Hickam Air Force Base, Schofield Barracks, and other military bases encourage active-duty personnel living in the community to prioritize on-base housing when feasible or practical.

Direct transmission of certified copies of the resolution to the Secretary of Defense, Under Secretary of Defense for Policy, Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Military Community and Family Policy, Assistant Secretary of Defense for Energy, Installations and Environment, all Service Secretaries, and the Commander of United States Indo-Pacific Command.
