Clarifies that existing health insurance mandates for low-dose mammography coverage include digital mammography and breast tomosynthesis (3D mammography) as advancing methodologies.

Defines "breast tomosynthesis" as a radiologic procedure using projection images to produce cross-sectional digital three-dimensional images of the breast.

Amends Hawaii Revised Statutes sections 431:10A-116 and 432:1-605(c) to explicitly include digital mammography and breast tomosynthesis within the definition of covered low-dose mammography services.

Applies to health insurance policies, contracts, plans, and agreements issued on or after February 1, 1991, with coverage requirements for women age 40 and older, and women of any age with personal or family history of breast cancer.

Sunsets on June 30, 2024, with prior statutory language to be reenacted unless the act is renewed.
