SB1200 Summary

• Appropriates funds for fiscal biennium 2019-2021 to implement collective bargaining cost items negotiated with bargaining unit (10), distributed across multiple state departments including the Department of Education and Judiciary.

• Provides salary increases and other cost adjustments for excluded state officers and employees in the same compensation plans as bargaining unit (10) members, in accordance with chapter 89C, Hawaii Revised Statutes.

• Allocates funding to the Hawaii Health Systems Corporation for both bargaining unit (10) cost items and excluded employee adjustments.

• Allows salary increases paid from federal, special, or other funds to be paid proportionately from their respective fund sources.

• Specifies that any unexpended or unencumbered funds lapse on June 30, 2020, and June 30, 2021, respectively, and sets the effective date as January 1, 2050.
