S.B. 1203 Summary

• Appropriates funds for fiscal biennium 2019-2021 to cover collective bargaining cost items for bargaining unit (14) with $0 appropriated from general, special, federal, and other funds for both FY 2019-2020 and FY 2020-2021.

• Appropriates funds for salary increases and cost adjustments for state officers and employees excluded from collective bargaining who belong to the same compensation plans as bargaining unit (14) members, with $0 appropriated from all fund sources for both fiscal years.

• Authorizes the director of finance to allot appropriated funds to state departments for expenditure in their respective fiscal years.

• Salary increases and cost adjustments for employees paid from federal, special, or other funds shall be paid proportionately from those respective funds.

• Unexpended or unencumbered funds shall lapse on June 30, 2020 and June 30, 2021, and the Act takes effect January 1, 2050.
