Amends Hawaii Revised Statutes Section 269-2(b) to change how Public Utilities Commission (PUC) salaries are calculated, effective July 1, 2050.

Sets the PUC chairperson's salary equal to the highest pay tier of the First Deputy Attorney General position (replacing the previous calculation based on 87% of the director of human resources development salary).

Sets other PUC commissioners' salaries equal to the lowest pay tier of the First Deputy Attorney General position (replacing the previous calculation of 95% of the chairperson's salary).

Maintains commissioners' exemption from civil service chapters 76 and 89, membership in the state employees' retirement system, and eligibility for state or federal employee benefits including those under chapter 87A.
