Authorizes the state fire council to employ an administrator, administrative assistant, and other staff without regard to civil service chapters 76 and 89.

Removes the requirement that the administrator and administrative assistant be employed on a full-time basis, allowing flexible employment arrangements.

Grants the state fire council authority to determine compensation for all employed staff and to purchase office equipment and supplies.

Allows the state fire council to contract with any county fire department to employ individuals to fulfill staff positions.

Takes effect July 1, 2050.
