Amends Hawaii Revised Statutes Section 708-814 to streamline evidence requirements for criminal trespass in the second degree on commercial premises.

Allows evidence of a prior written warning or request to leave to be demonstrated by any copy of the warning, whether or not it is posted at the premises or retained by the county police department.

Specifies that a "reasonable warning or request" must be communicated in writing within a one-year period inclusive of the date the incident occurred.

Eliminates the previous requirement that property owners or lessees must possess the original written warning to file a complaint against a trespasser who violated the warning.

Takes effect upon approval with no effect on proceedings begun before the effective date.
