Amends Section 302A-1303.5 of Hawaii Revised Statutes to require the Committee on Weights to submit a report to the legislature on any recommendations made to the board of education regarding the weighted student formula.

The Committee on Weights continues its existing functions: developing weighted student formulas, identifying student characteristics for weighting, determining unit values, and recommending formulas to the board of education.

Committee must meet at least once every odd-numbered year to review the weighted student formula and recommend updates if necessary.

Committee composition includes principals, teachers, and professionals selected by the board of education based on superintendent and University of Hawaii recommendations, with the superintendent or designee serving as chair.

Takes effect upon approval.
