• Urges Hawaii state and each county to adopt the Global Pact for the Environment and align with the United Nations Paris Agreement limiting temperature increases to 1.5 degrees Celsius to protect Pacific island neighbors.

• Calls for adoption of UN Sustainable Development Goals 13-17: climate action, ocean conservation, terrestrial ecosystem protection, inclusive peaceful societies, and strengthened global partnerships for sustainable development.

• Identifies 22 key principles in the Global Pact including right to ecologically sound environment, prevention and precaution, polluter-pays principle, public participation, environmental justice, and environmental non-regression.

• Directs certified copies be transmitted to UN Secretary General, US President and Congress, Hawaii Governor, and all county mayors.
