S.C.R. NO. 46 - Summary

• Approves the sale of fee simple interest in parcel tax map key no. (1) 2-1-015:061 (Parcel I) located in Kakaako, Honolulu, from the Office of Hawaiian Affairs to the City and County of Honolulu.

• Parcel I is approximately 141,832 square feet and has a fair market value of $29,640,000 as appraised by James E. Hallstrom, Jr. and Brian S. Goto of CBRE, Inc. on December 5, 2017.

• The primary purpose for the sale is to address municipal sewage needs and increase system capacity for the east Honolulu service basin, with development plans to include a major pump station and/or other wastewater facility.

• Parcel I was classified as government or crown lands prior to August 15, 1895, as determined through title search by Office of Hawaiian Affairs staff.

• Certified copies of the resolution shall be transmitted to the Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the Office of Hawaiian Affairs and the Mayor of the City and County of Honolulu.
