Encourages the Legislature to fund the Hawaii Rural Health Care Provider Loan Repayment Program administered by the John A. Burns School of Medicine at the University of Hawaii.

Program provides loan repayment assistance to physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners who commit to working in federally designated health professional shortage areas or underserved areas of Hawaii.

Notes that at least 25 health care providers have received loan repayment since September 1, 2012, and continue serving these communities through the program, which was initially funded by private donations and matching federal funding.

Addresses Hawaii's shortage of primary health care providers in rural areas, which has resulted in federal designation of multiple state areas as medically underserved or health professional shortage areas.

Requires transmission of the resolution to the President of the University of Hawaii System and the Director of Health.
