• University of Hawaii Board of Regents is requested to continue supporting and funding the Industrial Relations Center as a labor-management relations resource for public and private sectors.

• Industrial Relations Center was established in 1948 to promote understanding of labor-management interactions, collective bargaining, mediation techniques, and sector policies.

• Center has trained more than 1,800 professionals through workshops on collective bargaining and grievance arbitration and published over 150 statutory guides and bulletins on public sector bargaining laws.

• Center maintains the most complete collection of arbitration decisions for Hawaii's private and public sector employees and serves as a trusted, impartial resource for labor-management relations research.

• Certified copies of the resolution are to be transmitted to the University of Hawaii Board of Regents Chair, University President, Interim Chancellor, Industrial Relations Center Director, University Librarian, and Center for Labor Education and Research Director.
