State Energy Office, in collaboration with Department of Agriculture, requested to create and implement a strategic plan linking renewable energy development with increased local food production in a symbiotic relationship.

Strategic plan must include findings and recommendations on land use policy, protected agriculture, agricultural technology, necessary legislation, mutually-beneficial relationships between agriculture and energy, and potential conflicts with solutions.

State Energy Office requested to create an economic impact report based on successful implementation of the strategic plan.

State Energy Office must submit report with findings, recommendations, proposed legislation, and strategic plan to the Legislature no later than 20 days before the 2020 Regular Session.

State Energy Office must submit report with findings, recommendations, proposed legislation, and economic impact report to the Legislature no later than 20 days before the 2021 Regular Session.
