Urges University of Hawaii to develop an integrated plan for certificates, degrees, and pathways in facilities maintenance and construction management, in consultation with facilities offices, Department of Accounting and General Services, and industry representatives.

Directs coordination between two- and four-year programs to align academic coursework with professional development and articulation pathways.

Requires facilities maintenance curriculum to teach technical knowledge, professional judgment, and industry best practices for understanding and maintaining structures and subsystems in the built environment.

Requires construction management curriculum to prepare students in technical knowledge, professional judgment, construction methods and materials, and project time and financial management.

Mandates inclusion of internships with public and private entities, including government agencies like University of Hawaii facilities offices and Department of Accounting and General Services.
