H.B. 1424 - Visitor Information Center

• Establishes a visitor information center at the state capitol to inform and educate visitors about the historic and cultural aspects of the capitol and its grounds and facilities.

• Adds this new requirement as a fifth responsibility of the state capitol management committee under Hawaii Revised Statutes Section 6E-34.5(f).

• Appropriates funds from general revenues for fiscal years 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 to the department of accounting and general services for implementation (specific dollar amounts left blank in the bill text).

• Takes effect July 1, 2022.
