Remove the June 30, 2021 sunset date from Act 39, Session Laws of Hawaii 2017, making the innovation and commercialization initiative program at the University of Hawaii permanent.

The innovation and commercialization initiative program enables the University of Hawaii to deploy educational, instructional, managerial, fiscal resources, and personnel to promote economic health and workforce diversification through commercialization of university inventions and discoveries.

Amend section 3 of Act 39 to delete the repeal language that was scheduled to terminate the program on June 30, 2021.

Effective date: July 1, 2050.
