HB 2091 Summary

• Adds the University of Hawaii to the list of entities authorized to conduct criminal history record checks under Hawaii Revised Statutes section 846-2.7(b)

• Authorizes the University of Hawaii to conduct checks on current or prospective employees, contractors, and their employees whose duties include ensuring the security of campus facilities and persons

• Renumbers the final catchall provision for other authorized entities from subsection (49) to (50) to accommodate the new University of Hawaii provision

• Takes effect upon approval
