• Allows licensed dispensaries to manufacture and distribute edible cannabis products as specified by the department, regulated as manufactured cannabis products rather than foods or drugs.

• Permits the Department of Health to authorize licensed dispensaries to provide, disseminate, and publish educational and scientific materials about medical cannabis and sponsor related events.

• Requires all medical cannabis products to use child-resistant packaging with accurate labeling including potency, contents, production center information, batch numbers, and date of manufacture.

• Takes effect January 1, 2021.
